Román Raña


Román Raña was granted the Premio Esquío de poesía (1987), the Premio Blanco Amor (1989), the Premio de poesía Caixanova (2004), and the Premio da Crítica española (2005). Born in Vigo (Pontevedra, Galicia) on February 8, 1960, he is Doctor in Galician-Portuguese Philology by the University of Santiago de Compostela, practicing as Full Professor of Galician Language and Literature in the IES do Castro. He collaborated in Faro de Vigo, A Nosa Terra, Grial and Luzes de Galiza. He is part of the group of Galician writers belonging to the Generation of the ‘80s.
